Petrobras has oil and gas production of 2.7 million (bopd) in February

This total represents the production in Brazil and abroad, from this amount 1,683,668 million barrels of oil equivalent per day (bopd) were extracted in the state of Rio de Janeiro, an average production of oil and natural gas from Petrobras, the Brazil and abroad in February was 2,700,814 barrels of oil equivalent per day (bopd). Considering only the fields in Brazil, the production volume reached 2,455,636 barrels per day of oil equivalent (bopd). This result was 1.1% lower than the total volume extracted in January this year, due to the shutdown of the pipeline Caraguatatuba-Taubaté (Gastau), the end of the extended well test (EWT) of Arowana, in the Campos Basin, and halt of the FPSO Dynamic Producer, who performed the TLD Carioca Northeast, for failure to vertical duct test production. According to its statement Petrobras announces that the exclusive production of oil from domestic fields that month, reached 2,098,064 barrels per day and natural gas, 56 million 849 thousand meters cubic. The volume of oil and natural gas fields located in the countries where Petrobras operates in February reached 245,178 boe. The natural gas production abroad was 16 million and 983 thousand cubic meters per day. Highlights of the month: Iracema-On February 27, 2012, Petrobras began producing oil by the FPSO BW Cidade de São Vicente, located in the area of Iracema, the pre-salt Santos Basin. It was connected to the RJS-647 in water depth is 2212 meters. This platform must operate in the area for a period of approximately six months, in order to collect technical information about the behavior of the reservoirs and oil flow in subsea lines, among other data. This information will support the development of the final production in this area, expected to begin operation in late 2014 with the installation of the FPSO Cidade de Mangalore. The project is being developed by the consortium formed by Petrobras (operator, with 65% participation), BG E & P Brazil Ltda. - BG Group (25%) and Petrogal SA Brazil (10%). Baúna and Piracaba- With the end of the Long Duration Tests made in the areas of Tiro and Sidon, the Company presented to the National Petroleum, Natural Gas and Biofuels (ANP), the last day 17/02, the Declaration of Commercial Viability of these accumulations of oil and gas, which became known as the Baúna and Piracaba, respectively. These fields are located in exploratory block BM-S-40 (100% Petrobras), in the southern portion of the Santos Basin, an area of shallow, post-salt. Source:Factor Translation:EGE
