Rio de Janeiro - The new general director of National Agency of Petroleum, Natural Gas and Biofuels (ANP), Magda Chambriard said on March 21st (Wednesday) in her inaugural speech that the inspections sector of oil, from exploration to retailing of goods shall be based on intelligence, as it would be "impossible and very expensive" to maintain an inspector on every oil well and every gas station.
"Our choice is intelligent surveillance, utilizing the data analysis of economic agents and has a partnership with other public entities. These are the checks that must occur in both exploration and production, refining, distribution and sale of products, "she said. Magda Chambriard said that Brazil needs to be aware of research involving the second generation ethanol, obtained from the use of any plant, not just part of the fermentation, as with sugar cane in Brazil.
